CTVR student wins Entrepreneur Prize

Alvaro Palomo Navarro wins first place in the 2011 NUI Maynooth Student Entrepreneur Competition. His company, eBitez, will develop smart phone application software to lead the next generation of supermarket online shopping.

Alvaro is an IRCSET-funded CTVR PhD student in Electronic Engineering with Dr Ronan Farrell’s group.

Sponsors of this annual competition are Bank of Ireland Maynooth and McCann Fitzgerald Solicitors. The judging panel for the final included Conor Boyce, Patent Attorney, FRKelly; Paul Lavery, Solicitor, McCann Fitzgerald; Teresa Gorman, Manager, Bank of Ireland, Maynooth; Conor Mallaghan, Managing Director, Carton House.
