The Scientific Advisory Board comprises leading international researchers whose expertise largely represents the scientific activities being pursued by CTVR. The Scientific Advisory Board provides the CTVR (and specifically Director) with independent, impartial scientific advice on an ongoing basis. Our Scientific Advisory Board convenes for a face-to-face meeting once per year and conducts other interactions through conference calls.
The Scientific Advisory Board currently consists of:
Prof. Andrew Campbell; an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire (USA) and a member of the Centre for Mobile Computing (CMC) and the Institute for Security Technology Studies (ISTS);
Prof. Norman Sadeh; an associate Professor in Computer Science at Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire (USA) and a member of the Centre for Mobile Computing (CMC) and the Institute for Security Technology Studies (ISTS);
Prof. Wilson Sibbett; Director of Research in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of St Andrews (Scotland) and chief scientific advisor to the Scottish Executive;
Brian Caulfield; a TCD graduate with an extensive and successful track record as an entrepreneur and venture capitalist. Brian is an early stage investor with a number of companies; in 2007 the Irish Software Association named him as Technology Person of the Year.
Patrick O’Connor; an independent consultant on engineering management, reliability, quality and safety.
